The train is nearly empty at this time of day, a temporary lull populated primarily by riders caught between the swell of workers coming off their graveyard shifts and the crush of "9-to-5"-ers heading to work. A gentleman boards and scans the car for a seat. He pauses to sit in a seat next to the indication, notices its presence, and then chooses a seat elsewhere.
